First Week Orientation
Welcome — Mapper & Red Cruiser
You need three systems. That is the whole first week. Profile. Docs. Maps.
01 — Volunteer Home
Volunteer Connection
This is your volunteer home. You keep your profile here. You say when you can go. You say how you want to help.
Log in. Click DCS Responder — that is the exact link name. Then set Availability (when you can go) and Intent (how you want to help).
- Sign In volunteerconnection.redcross.org
- DCS Responder Open after you log in
- How-To Video intent.jbf.com/how-to
- Log In Use the Sign In link. This is the door.
- Click DCS Responder The link name is exact. Do not hunt for a close match.
- Set Availability and Intent Availability is when you can go. Intent is how you want to help.
02 — Intranet
One Source
One Source is the intranet. Job tools, documents, and policy live here. It is not Volunteer Connection. It is not the map.
Search is noisy. Do not wander. Bookmark the pages your supervisor points you to.
03 — ArcGIS Online
Maps / GIS
Mapping work lives in ArcGIS Online. The organization name is arc-nhq-gis. Sign in there. Train there. Work there.
Do not invent layers. Do not share Red Cross map data outside a signed-in ArcGIS Online session.

Training And A Phone
EDGE is the learning system. Your lead will tell you which courses to take. Volunteer Connection has a help line if you cannot get in.
